Origin in 1967
In September 1967, the governments of the United Kingdom, Germany and France signed a memorandum of understanding for the development of a 300-seat aircraft. This joint project would be the second airline in Europe, after the Concorde. In the months following questions were raised by the British and French governments on the feasibility of the project and had to modify it so that I could use already developed engines and reduce costs.
In 1969 the British government withdrew support for the program. Given the participation of Hawker Siddeley, the company selected by the British government (which no financial support could not continue with him), in wing development, the French and Germans were unable to continue alone. Finally, the company managed to remain a British contractor with the financial support German.
The consortium was created in 1970 by French companies Aerospatiale and Deutsche Aerospace and European aircraft maker. In 1971 the Spanish company CASA (Construcciones Aeronautics SA) joined the consortium, and in 1979 did the English British Aerospace. From the beginning, the consortium set a target to compete with the leading manufacturer of aircraft in the world, the U.S. company Boeing, which at that time was becoming increasingly dominant position in the civil aviation sector.
Following the merger of Aerospatiale, CASA and Deutsche Aerospace to create EADS (European Aeronautic, Defence and Space Company), the latter gained control over 80% of Airbus, leaving the remaining 20% owned by BAE Systems PLC (British Aerospace) and this percentage acquired in 2006 by EADS, so that it now controls 100% of the company. The first issue of A-300 was registered as F-BVGI on Air France

LAST AIRBUS 350 XWB
The Airbus A350 is a revised version of the Airbus A330-200, scheduled to increase range and reduce operating costs. Airbus is developing it as a competitor to Boeing 787. The cost to develop the A350 is estimated at approximately 3,500 million euros.
